The wait was worth it for one lucky Oregon resident, who now holds the $1.30 billion worth winning ticket which is a life-changing sum of money. Saturday night on April 6 Powerball winning numbers were, 22-27-44-52-69 and the red ball was 9. The Power Play multiplier was 3X.
In a press release, Oregon Lottery Director Mike Wells said, “I want to congratulate the winner on this life-changing moment, No one in Oregon has ever won a prize on this scale, and it’s very exciting for our staff and players.” Mr. Wells said more, “Even if you aren’t holding the winning ticket, all of our players support programs and services statewide that receive Lottery dollars.” This win signifies a significant financial boost for Oregon, with lottery proceeds supporting various crucial initiatives.

The winning ticket itself was purchased in Portland on Saturday, but the specific store name is undisclosed by the Oregon Lottery. The winner has a year (365 days) to claim their prize. Oregon law, unlike some other states, does not allow lottery winners to remain anonymous.
With the historic jackpot win many players named the $1 million prize. A worth $1,000,000 ticket was sold in Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Wyoming, 81 tickets won $50,000 prizes, and 26 tickets won $150,000 prizes.
